Jazz pianist, arranger, composer.
He was born in 1992 in Yerevan. Rafael was a student at the Faculty of General Medicine of Yerevan State Medical University, however, at the age of 22, having discovered jazz music, he left his studies incomplete, in the complete absence of any musical education, self-educated, then receiving knowledge from Vahagn Hayrapetyan, Karen Grigoryan and Armen Tutunjian, began actively studying music as a jazz pianist. Rafael performs with his trio and quartet, also performs with jazz vocalist Sona Gulhasyan, with whom they founded the label "Sheet Happens" and their own jazz orchestra, which is currently actively engaged in creative activities. In 2021, he participated in the World of Jazz international competition, performed a concert program with various musicians from abroad. Among them, trumpeter and vocalist Larry Gillespie, Trumpeter John Marshall, Double Bassist Nikolai Zatolochny etc.

Et la joie et le sourire qu’il affiche en permanence sur son visage sont communicatifs, il irrigue le bonheur et une apparente facilité. Et la qualité du trio est à l’avenant.
